Configuring GroupInsight

GroupInsight depends on RSIGuard being installed to self-configure. In general, it is not necessary to configure GroupInsight if RSIGuard has been installed, and your computer has rebooted since RSIGuard was installed.

However, there are some options that may enhance your usage of GroupInsight, so you can adjust the configuration by visiting the Settings page.

Launch GroupInsight

Click Setup and select Settings... If you are prompted for a password, enter your password (or the default password if you have never set a password),If you do not have the default password, please contact RSIGuard Support at (415)332-6433.

You will now see the Settings screen:

Data Source:
In general, if your users store their RSIGuard usage data on a network, then "GroupInsight should use networked data" should be checked, and the folder specified should be where your user's TID files are located.

If your data is stored elsewhere, then GroupInsight depends on data being submitted to it. Also, if you collect discomfort surveys, those must be submitted to GroupInsight. If so, check GroupInsight should look for Health Status Reports and select the location where they are stored. If you use this method, you can also specify the "Store Status Reports downloaded..." location. In general, this location should be backed up -- and if multiple people will view status reports, it needs to be on a network.

The HR Data File Location points to the HR database file on your network (if present).

Defaults:
When GroupInsight searches data, you can specify the date range over which the search should occur. By default, if you don't specify the date range, GroupInsight will assume the last 30 days of data should be used.

In general, when GroupInsight launches, it will load the current database. However, if you prefer that it doesn't do this, you can disable this.

Password Protection:
When GroupInsight launches, it requests you enter a password. However, this password is not necessary if your computer can only be accessed by you.

Notifications:
If you use Health Status Reports (discomfort surveys) you can request a notification within RSIGuard when new reports are submitted (one per day).
