Pilot Installation Instructions
Ideally, pilot participants should have RSIGuard installed on their computer by your IT department (e.g. via an automatic installation tool or by manually installing it for each user). However, if this is not possible, and your users have the administrative rights to install software on their own computer, you can have pilot participants install RSIGuard themselves. This template email can be used to guide pilot participants through the process.
Dear RSIGuard Tester,
Thank you very much for helping your organization test RSIGuard. RSIGuard can help you stay healthy at the computer by:
reminding you to take breaks based on how hard you work
keeping you aware of how you are working at the computer
providing you ways to reduce repetitive computer actions and mouse-clicking
giving you tools to use sit-stand desks, laptops, shared workspaces, and multiple monitors more efficiently
helping you learn how you use the computer to help you improve comfort and productivity
We hope you find it to be helpful!
To begin, you will download and install RSIGuard on your computer. Carefully follow the steps below. If you'd like assistance, please contact Support.
Before installing RSIGuard (or any software) close any applications you currently have open.
Visit the RSIGuard download page at https://www.rsiguard.com/download and follow the instructions there for downloading and installing RSIGuard.
After installation completes, RSIGuard will automatically launch (and will launch automatically every time you restart your computer).
RSIGuard will begin the setup wizard to help you configure your RSIGuard preferences. The setup wizard is self-explanatory, but if you'd like additional help, please visit Getting Started with the Setup Wizard
At this point RSIGuard will be running. Enjoy RSIGuard. Remember, it is there to help you avoid becoming injured. If at any time during the pilot you have questions or feedback, please visit RSIGuard Support online.
Sincerely,
EH&S Staff
